Route: Somova - Tulcea - Babadag - Tariverde - Histria - Vadu - Cheia and return to base on the same route.
Highlights:
- Babadag forest (birds of prey, Woodpeckers, Wheatears)
- Ruins of Histria ancient town and Vadu area: Pratincoles, Stilts,
Sandpipers, Spoon bills, Plovers, Terns, Dalmatian Pelican, hopefully Ruddy Shelduck or Paddyfield Warbler - Cheia gorges (good place for raptors): Eagles, Buzzards,
Sparrowhawk; Ortolan Bunting and Corn Bunting also Larks or Wheatears;
Distance: 200 - 250 km.

Highlights: The main attraction of the trip is a visit to the largest tcolony of white pelicans (Pelecanus onocrotalus) in Europe, the Ardeidaes mixed colonies, the majority of Anatidaes and Paseriformes species characteristic for the delta, as well as the presence of invertebrates. The channels and lakes visited during this trip offer an opportunity to view a majority of the bird species in the region.

White Pelicans, Danube Delta
Route: Transfer by road to Tulcea. Boat on the Danube, following the Mila 36
channel up to Purcelu colony. Rowing boats will be used in the colony. Return to
Tulcea by speed boat and then by road to the resort.
Highlights: plenty of waterfowl species (cormorants, ducks, egrets, pelicans,
swans, geese), also woodpeckers and singing birds in the trees. Raptors such as
the White-tailed Eagle are often spotted here.

C1. Full day Dobrogea Trip (Trip Duration: 9 hours)
Route: First the Danube Delta Museum, Historical and Archaeological Museum and the Heroes Monument in Tulcea. Travel south to Babadag town - a name of an oriental origin, meaning "Father of the Mountains". After leaving the town, visit the Babadag forest. Short break to see the forest and its life. The main point of this tour is the ancient town of Histria.. On the way back pass through Jurilovca village, Enisala. Village (ruins of the Byzantine fortress before returning to the resort
Highlights:
- Tulcea town: Danube Delta Museum and Histhorical and Archaeological Museum
- Tulcea town: The Independence Monument, raised on a hill on the northern border of the town, with a beautiful panoramic view over the Danube Delta and of Tulcea
- Babadag town and forest. The town shelters an important Turkish minority (beautiful mosque to visit).
- Ruins of Histria town (founded around the 8th century B.C. by Greek colonists from Millet)
- Jurilovca village (fisherman village on the west border of Razim Lake, inhabited by an important lipovan population)
- Enisala fortress ruins (Heracleea Byzantine fortress 7th century A.D);

Route: We start the trip in boats from the resort till the Saon Monastery where we have lunch served by the nuns. After lunch we travel by road to the to the Badila Cellars for a session of wine tasting . In addition to tasting fine old wines ( 20 year vintage) you will also receive a bottle of white and red wine to carry home. We then visit the Cocos Monastery before returning to the resort.
