The Danube Delta Nature Resort is the first luxury nature lodge in the region and the only 5-star resort in Romania. It opened in May 2005 and offers premium accommodation in 32 independent villas, each with a spectacular view of the wilderness landscape of the western Danube Delta.

Attention to detail has ensured the creation of a world class resort that offers its guests exemplary service, the finest in international and local cuisine, and a variety of unique recreational opportunities including excursions and activities. A team of knowledgeable and well trained staff are at hand to ensure a memorable holiday experience.

A holiday at the Delta Nature Resort will take you beyond luxury living and fine dining. The resort was conceived to provide a 'complete holiday experience'. Facilities at the resort include a fully equipped 'Exploration Center' with a dedicated team of nature and fishing guides and a fleet of specialized boats and off-road vehicles. The Delta Nature Resort is situated on the picturesque banks of Lake Somova in the western Danube Delta, the resort is accessible by both road and water. The nearest town and county capital of Tulcea, 13 kilometres away, is a railhead and has an airport. Boats also operate services from Tulcea into the Delta. The resort offers transfer facilities by road, rail and air from Bucharest, Romania's capital and international airport as well as from Tulcea. Handcrafted with local wood and stone, each villa is an independent unit with a large bedroom with a king-size bed, a separate living area, a luxurious bathroom stocked with the finest of herbal toiletries, and a spacious patio. The villas have been constructed to represent a typical Romanian fishing village, and are furnished by local artisans who have skillfully blended traditional with modern comfort. Designed by the award winning London based architectural firm, 'Sagharchi & Associates', the villas are tastefully decorated and furnished to include all essential modern amenities. With high ceilings and spacious interiors, the villas offer unparalleled comfort and facilities in pristine natural surroundings.
