The Cormoran is a modern, quality hotel complex offering a range of facilities including restaurant, boat hire, transfers, guides and Reserve Permits. Uzlina lies in an excellent position in the southern part of the Delta, on the Sfântu Gheorghe Channel. It may be reached in 20 minutes by boat from the fishing village of Murighiol (secure parking at Complex Cormoran Petrol Station). Transfers can also be arranged from Tulcea. It is a good starting point for exploration of the main channels but also offers access to the more remote regions of the Delta. The Reserve offices are located here so there is always specialist advice to hand.

HOTEL CORMORAN has 34 air-conditioned double rooms and 2 apartments with en suite bathrooms, satellite TV, international telephone. Other facilities include restaurants, open-air terrace, bars, disco and TV halls. The Cormoran also has sauna, swimming pool and conference facilities. A wide range of boats with guides may be hired ranging from simple rowing boats to larger motor launches. There are also various cruises organised into the Delta from Uzlina.

PENSIUNEA CORMORAN is a comfortable pension comprising 4 double and 3 triple rooms and a separate restaurant. The complex also includes self-catering vapartments which are available on request.

HOTEL EGRETA 3*+, Dunavatu de Jos

The Egreta is a similar air-conditioned 3-star hotel with decent facilities. One possible advantage is that it is situated at the end of the road leading through Murighiol into the south-eastern edge of the Delta. As a consequence it may be reached by car and used also a base for travelling into the Dobrogea to Histria, Babadag or Lakes Razim and Sinoie. Boats are also available here and channels lead into the Delta and also south to Lake Razim, another good area for bird-watching (Red-breasted Geese in winter).

HOTEL SUNRISE 3*, Crisan

One of the few reasonable hotels situated deep in the Delta itself. The Sunrise is located in the small fishing village of Crisan, on the Sulina branch of the Danube. It is accessible only by boat (Tulcea - Sulina service) and is surrounded by some excellent areas for birdwatching including the Caraorman Forest and associated sand dunes. The hotel comprises 29 air-conditioned rooms with bath, TV and minibar, and offers a restaurant, bar, terrace and conference facilities.

HOTEL REX 4*, Tulcea
Decent, new air-conditioned central hotel with good service. 38 rooms with en suite bathrooms, cable TV, and en suite bathroom. Bars, restaurant and conference facilities.

HOTEL DELTA 3*, Tulcea
Standard communist-era high-rise hotel with good facilties, part overlooking the Danube in the town centre. Rooms refurbished with en suite bathrooms, cable TV and minibar. Internet access in the hotel. Restaurant, bars, shop, hairdresser and indoor pool. Good place for an overnight if taking a boat next morning.

HOTEL GALATI 3*, Galati
Another high-rise city hotel with good facilities and service. Rooms with en suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, minibar and cable TV. Internet access availble. Bars, restaurant, fitness room and conference facilities available.
